FISHING AT HOOPER'S LAKE

In the Spring of 2001, approximately 3000 Rainbow Trout fingerlings were released into Hooper's Lake. Aeration equipment was setup in the winter of 2001, provided by the Manitoba Department of Conservation - Fisheries Branch. In the spring of 2002 Manitoba Department of Conservation staff stocked Hooper's Lake with Northern Pike at various stages of growth. Water levels at Hooper's Lake have remained constant over the last five years and with ample aquatic insects and other water creatures this area will provide excellent habitat for fish.  Northern Pike captured by Manitoba Department of Water Stewardship staff were released into Hooper's Lake on April 29, 2004. Permanent aeration setup summer of 2004 by  Hooper's Lake volunteers and Manitoba Department of Water Stewardship Staff. On April 20, 2005 Northern Pike captured by Manitoba Department of Water Stewardship staff were released into Hooper's Lake.On April 24, 2006 Bruno Bruederlin of Manitoba department of Water Stewardship released Northern Pike into Hooper's Lake
